May 29, 2022 - pnp. still bright and fresh with dark cherries, currants, plums and an earthy
component. Tannins still present on the back end. paired well with steak and grilled veggies tonight. -

December 13, 2021 - Drinking nicely at 14 years of age. Opened and slow ox'd for two hours. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries, cherry, currant, tobacco and coffee leading to a moderately long finish.

April 25, 2020 - Still dark color, appearance not young or old, great nose of flower perfume, racy tannins supporting a rail of fruit. Balanced toward the leaner side but, had the right amount of deep berry flavor. Long finish, it just danced from beginning to end. Been hitting the cellar hard during the pandemic and this 2007 surprised as one of the very best, favorite so far.

Tasting of New California Arrivals, Episode #954, 11/23/2010 (link) 93 points(Flora Springs Trilogy) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-great nose; very Bordeaux like; a little spruce forrest floor and some earthiness; some red and black fruit; PALATE-this is good; very dark; wow, really nice delicious firm tannins; almost like blueberry pie with a kick; this is better than I expected; this is very, very good; extremely balanced; Bordeaux like while still having a California sensibility; great fruit; beautiful, luscious and full plump blackberries; like pure artisan blackberry juice; has great flavors; I'm a huge fan; I think Parker nailed it; this is a BIG wine; this is blowing me away; one of the better California red blends I've had in a long time; can easily age for 7-15 years; RP-93; GV-93
