March 17, 2021 - ?Felt perhaps this might still require more time

April 25, 2020 - Still dark color, appearance not young or old, great nose of flower perfume, racy tannins supporting a rail of fruit. Balanced toward the leaner side but, had the right amount of deep berry flavor. Long finish, it just danced from beginning to end. Been hitting the cellar hard during the pandemic and this 2007 surprised as one of the very best, favorite so far.

January 10, 2020 - It's been nine years almost to the day since I last had this. The nose is gorgeous giving off dark berries and a strong forest floor component. Little bit of earth but not as dirty as when previously tasted in 2011. The palate is not as dense and is a little more subdued. Black fruit is shining through with some dark chocolate. Strong finish although tannins seem to be fading. Still has a few years at it's peak

December 26, 2018 - Drank with prime rig on Xmas day. This was really nice and I think totally in its prime. Still good fruit and some nice herbal notes. Very smooth and satisfying. Well stored bottles should hold a few more years but this is drinking great now and no reason to wait. Wish I had a couple more. Was a great buy at $40

November 17, 2018 - Very dark red color, very subtle 3mm margin. PNP, split bottle over 3 hours. This is in a very good place, mature, still fresh and well balanced. The nose offers pretty fruits of cassis and red cherry, baking spice, tobacco and graphite. As this opens, about an hour in, a floral perfume emerges filled with a mix of violets and a mix of bright fruits that is just enticing. The palate is medium to medium full bodied, offering a purity to the cassis and cherry fruits that is notable, tobacco later gives way more to graphite, spice, pleasant cedar notes, and hints of dark cacao on the finish. Very good, even handed and graceful. I think is built such that it can give another 10 years, but it is very rewarding now.

(Flora Springs Trilogy) #2; COLOR-dark; NOSE-great nose; very Bordeaux like; a little spruce forrest floor and some earthiness; some red and black fruit; PALATE-this is good; very dark; wow, really nice delicious firm tannins; almost like blueberry pie with a kick; this is better than I expected; this is very, very good; extremely balanced; Bordeaux like while still having a California sensibility; great fruit; beautiful, luscious and full plump blackberries; like pure artisan blackberry juice; has great flavors; I'm a huge fan; I think Parker nailed it; this is a BIG wine; this is blowing me away; one of the better California red blends I've had in a long time; can easily age for 7-15 years; RP-93; GV-93
