March 22, 2012 - Translucent magenta with a brown brick tint. Strawberry, fig, and earth nose.Medium bodied, bright raspberries and cherries, spices, well integrated tannins, pepper, tobacco, good acid, and a medium finish. This didn't impress much the first night, mainly because it clashed with my meal (white sauce pasta with capers - my fault). But tonight it was singing. Great balance and just really good.

February 21, 2011 - Soft, supple fruit. Can't taste alcoho, just gentle red fruit and marvellous acidity! Tannnins or something in the background. Opens up nicely, and not as cherry as the 06 Riserva. Long finish, with fine minerality and a hint of some kind of perfume! Wonderful!
