September 6, 2021 - This wine will be a challenge to describe. Nice looking dark ruby all the way to a thin bright ruby edge. So many smells and flavors in this complex wine but gave it a low score because they were not the best representation of those flavors and like the tannins hadn’t integrated that well. Cherry, plum, dried plum, dried herbs, tar, earth sweet tobacco, charred wood, camphor, spice, leather. This description is usually up my alley but it just didn’t come together. Maybe better tomorrow. Still life in this wine and some of the notes about its prime window are on the low side

June 3, 2019 - Weekly tasting group RWP #333; Some random wines (@ DJ): Beautifully developed bouquet with forest floor, truffle, tobacco, vanilla and chocolate. On the palate still some cherries, chocolate, sweetness, good acidity and soft, slightly drying tannin. The wine has improved over the last years and is probably at its peak now.

July 18, 2016 - Quite berry-dominated and only slightly developed Cabernet Sauvignon nose with ripe blackcurrants, some eucayptus and blackcurrant candy, as well as hints of barnyard aromas, leather, spices and well-handled oak notes. Definitely concentrated on the palate, again with blackcurrants, together with prominent tannins and good tannins. Drinkable now, but will develop for many more years. 90 p.
Definitely shows a "New World Cab"-type of character.
