August 2, 2009 - Homecoming. Don't know exactly what I was expecting but this surprised. Lots of vanilla, some citrus and weak tropically but not yr typical CA chard. I mean its big, also a bit hot. First night it was woody yet vibrant. Two days later - meh- not so much. Love the finish- best part. After summer EU wines this seems hi-octane but only 14.5%.? Jet lag perhaps. Don't serve too cold.
