July 29, 2021 - Enjoyed a bottle of this at Grand Hotel Trimezzo in a Como. Dark robe, medium to heavy body, but only 14pct alcohol (feels like more). Very big and bold. Supple, velvety with fine tannins and good acidity to hold up to Italian cuisine. Good balance and complexity. Dark cherries and dark fruits, with some dust characteristic. Drinking nicely now with no signs of excess age although my wife thought it tasted “too old.” I’m a fan!

February 22, 2021 - I though I was grabbing the 2006 and ended being 2004. See my notes from 2020 09 17. Too bad, it would have been interesting to see this one evolve over the next few years. Very enjoyable!

September 17, 2020 - Six years since I had this wine and it is not showing much aging. Still deep red colour. Dark red fruit with lots of complexity, very fine tannins still hanging on and a nice touch of cedar on the finish is the only sign of its age. More enjoyable than the last bottle and that’s not to say the last one not enjoyable, it sure was. Drink or hold for another 3 to 5 years, maybe longer .

January 4, 2019 - Lovely, fresh nose. Cassis, tar, wet stone, forest floor, blackcurrant leaf, leather, touch of charred wood, cloves, blood, iodine. Some woodland feel from the cab franc. Medium + body, medium acid. Silky tannin on the finish which has to started to integrate. It is drinking well now but will improve for at least another 5 years and beyond, Long finish. I think they hit a home run on this vintage - superb wine
