December 8, 2017 - Very good new world Syrah with semi-sweet concentrated black fruit, spice and even a hint of cola/root-beer. Dense without being heavy.

October 2, 2015 - Less pleasant than last time. Mostly jammy and hot with too much sweetness on the fruit. I was too bullish on these bottles.

January 28, 2013 - Nice bottle and good value, but a little fruiter and jammier than I generally prefer. Tasted hints of mint and slight earth, but mostly just fruit. Very smooth and drinkable without much tannic structure. Was even hotter than the alcohol content would suggest.

January 19, 2013 - This Russian River Valley Syrah is a very dark ruby red with a nose of black fruit, loam, white pepper and mint. The palate show a full bodied wine with a lovely fruit that gives way to a structured middle of acids that flow nicely into a tannic long finish. If you can find it, drink it. It's well aged and ready.

January 6, 2013 - Massive cherry fruit, with vanilla and green peppercorn. This is still very young.
