March 23, 2022 - Still drinking very well. A full throttle syrah. The fruit has toned down since the last bottle was opened ~3 1/2 years ago. Beef bullion, leather, black cherry, cola, smoke, and some spice. Exotic nose includes plum tomato and rosemary. It will likely continue to hold well for a few more years. Handily among the best American Syrah!

March 3, 2021 - Fascinating throwback to the early years of A-R. Holding up really well. I would guess it has another 5 years. Smooth. Big but quite well balanced. 14.7% (Well outside what I typically like.)

August 5, 2018 - A full throttle syrah. Intense blackberry, with black cherry, cola, leather, beef bullion, smoke, and spice. Exotic nose includes plum tomato and rosemary. Have cellared this wine for almost 8 years since purchase. It will continue to provide enjoyment for at least a few more years. Handily among the best American Syrah!

May 16, 2017 - Very good, consistent with my prior note from one year ago.
Exotic nose, nice red fruit, with smoke on medium to long finish.

October 20, 2016 - TTTG - The Resurrection (brief notes; blind wines) (Granby, CT): Very expressive, open, exotic nose of black berries, leather, smoke, and other interesting elements I could not immediately place. Almost leaps out of the glass. Huge attack - rich, big, almost chewy (overheard: you have to work through it, like a steak). Interesting.
