September 15, 2009 - Sight: Deep, dark purple.
Nose: Cherry, dried herbs, mineral soil, peppermint along a touch of vanilla.
Taste: There's a interesting minty freshness to the whole thing. Faint oakyness, well bodied, slightly tart tannins and quite well balanced.
Note: A dry cedar wood smell come out more after 45 mins of decant.
Summary: Very good. The peppermint is unusual and could be off-putting if you're in the mood for a warmer red.[3.25/5] -

March 17, 2009 - Very dark black due to the Baco, tastes a little like a Rhone blend, a hard tannic aftertaste, due to cab Franc? This wine may have potential in 5 years.
