October 25, 2013 - What a fantastic wine! Any naysayers who claim North Berkley imported wines are over-oaked, new worldish, over extracted, etc. take note: this was a damn fine bottle of Burgundy and it was non of those things. This is in a really REALLY good place now. Perfect balance of fruit, earth, autumn leaves, mushroom, etc. - just a really complex nose with a corresponding complex palate. The finish lingered, prompting pause before taking that next sip. A really stellar bottle, and quite frankly a bit of a surprise.
