November 20, 2013 - I believe this one was definitely past its prime. Nose was actually pleasant with lots of tobacco and dust, but it was very astringent. Drank ok with some pasta but not very good by itself.

June 2, 2011 - Aromas of cherry, vanilla, spiced oak, and a little earth. This is holding up pretty well at age nine. I first had this 3-4 years ago. Dark fruit and earth on the palate. Well balanced. Dare I say Bordeaux like. Dry gripping tannins. Drink now or over next 3 years.

February 4, 2011 - Dark chocolate, toasty oak, tobacco, and a plum/cherry aromas combine for a nice bouquet. The plum flavor really comes through with the cherry finishing it off. Full bodied wine, with a very soft, velvety mouth feel. ($13)

January 15, 2011 - Drank a bottle last year and thought it was very thin. Opened this one and it was very light but, slightly harsh on first taste, but then finished out nicely.

May 18, 2009 - I found the herbal characteristics a bit detracting. Moderately tannic and overall a nice wine with great structure as this was tasting great after being open 5 days.
