December 16, 2011 - The first of six bottles stored in our passive cellar since release
Aerated and left in decanter 90 minutes before serving leaving a minimal amount of sediment
Dense purple with a ruby rim
Bold earthy, spicy, herbaceous, ripe blackberry aromas and flavors with a slight mineral streak
Broad and expansive in the mouth without being ponderous
    Rustic and robust in character
Well balanced, solid fruit core, firm acidity, moderate tannins, and excellent length with none of the 14.5 ABV sticking out
Leather, damp earth, and peppercorns coming through in the finish
Improved and opened up with more time in the decanter and glass
Quite tasty and good accompaniment to the polenta with ratatouille and spicy Italian sausages
At the beginning of its prime with another 3-4 good years ahead

    2/15/2013 UPDATE
This was really in its zone last night. Everything seemed to be in just the right place. It clearly outclassed the 2010 Château Puech-Haut Coteaux du Languedoc Saint-Drézéry Cuvée Prestige that preceded it. One bottle remaining and I will hold it for another year to see where it goes.

January 12, 2011 - I had this at Seattle's Campagne. It seemed a vivacious Grenache blend, a heart of fun, lots of fruit, enough complexity to make it interesting. Not surprisingly it was good with the French food of the night.

November 7, 2010 - Very full bodied and tannic This wine needs time, almost undrinkable at this point. Has the structure to last 5-10 years
