May 20, 2016 - Spice, chocolate, licorice, dark red fruit, a bit tart, but nice wine

May 27, 2011 - Ripe black fruit, baking spices, earthy minerals, and a singe of alcohol on the palate. Ripe tannins. Seemed almost 2003ish and the alcohol seemed to be much higher than the 13% on the label.

February 25, 2011 - Lovely wine again. Shows more development than last bottles. This one actually seemed denser, the fruit darker. Still had some lovely floral aromatics and a youthful grapiness reminiscent of a passetout grains. Very nice, a wine I would not mind having in quantity, but the price it is offerered there is lots of competition.

February 28, 2010 - Much nicer than last time. A light wine, a delicate wine. There is a nice whiff of wild strawberry in the front. Color is a good ruby, fading to a watery rim. Light bodied, feather-weight texture. Hint of herb emerges with time. Ephemeral sweetness. This will work well with a range of foods, I'm thinking charcuterie. Could also see this lightly chilled in the summer. Will revisit the last bottle in six months to a year. Not a wine for the long haul I think, but really lovely now.

April 2, 2009 - This started nice, if a bit simple, with a good red fruit quality. But the finish was rather clipped and a bit bitter, and the wine sort of went downhill. I feel like this may work better at a different time, so I will bury this for quite a while and then revisit in years to come.
