March 13, 2022 - Sadly this was my last bottle. Decanted for an hour. I have to say that all 12 bottles from a case were fantastic. Consistent, delicious and got better with time. This one the alcohol was well integrated and did not feel too hot. Great ripe blueberry, hint of mint, butter, cream, hint of leather. Velvety mouthfeel, weight medium plus, acid medium. This is my favorite steak pairing wine of all-time. Still good for another 10 years IMO, but drinking so nicely right now. Just a beautiful wine. I hope I get to drink another one sometime in the future.

November 7, 2020 - Decanted for 1-2h. Lots of alcohol on the nose, along with sandalwood and baking spices. This wine has lots of body, intense extracted sweet red fruit, minerals, asphalt, hints of tannin in the finish, more baking spices too. Great complexity now. It has been five years since I opened one of these bottles, and if anything the wine seems fully integrated, balanced, less hefty, yet still intense. I've been enjoying Old World wines lately, so the sweet juiciness is notable here, with spices the fruit profile reminds me a little of a high end CNP on the initial attack, of course the round mid palate expression and minerals mark this clearly as Californian. Mom, Peter, and Karen loved this, paired with grilled strip steak, buttered corn, and turmeric rice.

July 13, 2020 - This is a top 5 wine for me. Still unbelievably youthful . Beautiful door fruit, blueberry torte, vanilla and a touch of ink on the end. Still has years left. Holding up much better than mini 07s. If you can find this on the reserve list by it.

July 28, 2019 - Great fruit balanced with tremendous mineralogy, lots of dark fruit, granite, lead, and dark licorice. Amazing opulent finish. I think it has more to give, but it’s already a sexy wine that’s very fun to drink.
