March 20, 2018 - (Einst CGeis Köhof) Fein, reif, Frucht schon etwas ausgezehrt, raue Säure, milde Tannine, schön ...,

November 25, 2016 - Tastes of mushrooms and vanilla. Most of the fruit has gone but there's some acidity left. Perhaps a year or two past it's best window.

May 2, 2016 - This is like a mini Grand Vin. Dark red currant is mixed with floral and black raspberry notes on the nose and palate. There is the typical Montrose grey/earthy/ silty/ mushroomy component that plays into the nose and through the middle as well. At first this showed a bit of barnyard funk, but that blew off after about an hour in the decanter, when it really took off. Tannins are still evident, but not too bad, again - backing off with air. This is a very pretty wine and is a good example of the estate, perhaps just dialed back a bit.

Very Good - Drinking wonderfully now.

May 29, 2009 - Aroma is developing for 2 hours after opening. After 1/2 hour it was a bit to earthy, another hour made it balanced, with cherry, redcurrant and lot's of minor herbal flavours. Very round and warm in mouth.
