    September 16, 2016 - Caramel oak. Central Otago-like. Disappointing.

April 20, 2015 - Sappy red fruit, nice minerality, nice acidity. Lingering finish. Real
    enjoyable.

September 12, 2014 - Rick thinks it isn't showing well. Tobacco, not fun nose, I like the sweet fruit on the mid and then a hard finish. Its not terrible

May 31, 2013 - Drinking very well. Still young and not closed up like the 08s are starting to do. Very bright fruit and great zip. Excellent with food or alone. Spicy red fruit, stone, and tar on the nose. Red berry and tart cherry on a clean palate with a good finish, very silky. Great balance of acid, minerals, and fruit. No real tannins to speak of, so don't think this will last long or improve with age. Nothing profound here, but a well wrapped package with a pretty bow on it.

July 14, 2012 - Bastille Day Tastings-Mostly French (San Francisco): Better color than the '08. Immediately more aromatic (and the remainder of a bottle opened last night smelled quite complex). Pretty mixture of earth, red and black fruit. Appealing texture and length. Lower acidity (but not inadequate) compared to the '08, and subsequently more engaging and carressing than that wine.
