March 6, 2016 - Delicious. More fruit than I'd expect from a Douro tinto. Soft tannins; nice and gutsy. Still in prime form.

February 15, 2013 - Medium dark garnet. Rich but fading crushed black and red fruits, but not jammy. Nicely balanced oak. Asian spice and tobacco notes add some interest. A well made wine and interesting Douro. 50%Turiga Nacional (port grape), 25% Tinta Roriz (aka Tempranillo) and Touriga Franca. Drink now or by 2014.

September 21, 2011 - Decanted approx. 4 hours ... Nose is all berry fruit but palate shows there's a lot more going on. Deep dark crimson in the glass, fruit is there but well balanced with acidity and tannic backbone. Delightfully spicy (black pepper), with a long, very dry finish. It's somehow rich and lean, all at the same time. Not at all heavy or cloying. I'm kind of loving this one.
