Community Tasting Notes 1

December 23, 2006 - Pale strawberry red, not vibrant nor deep. Faint hint of orange on rim. Lovely nose of strawberries and violets, with a faint hint of oak - there's an autumn leaf note there too. Nice spiciness develops as the wine opens up. Light and supple with up-front acidity; red currants giving way to strawberries and plums. Woody notes and a little tobacco. Fine tannins which aren't quite as smooth as I'd like. Ready to drink and very, very tasty.
