March 14, 2020 - I bought this bottle on a recommendation from a friend, had never encountered this wine before. I was pleasantly surprised. Like the name says, cherry in the smell but also some earthiness. On the palate cherries, dark fruit, but also licorice. Velvet soft tannins and overall a very round wine. In a perfect drinking window at the moment!

May 19, 2019 - Delicious. We gave the 2007 Cherry Red even a higher score than our previous tasting. Rich, concentrated fruit in the nose and flavor. Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, licorice, and hints of minerals and floral. Very well balanced with great mouthfeel and a long lingering smooth finish. This is an incredible zinfandel/rhone blend that is amazing right now. 95/96

April 29, 2018 - Hosted a vertical tasting - 2006, 2007,2008. The 07 was the crowd favorite with the 08 a close second. The 2007 was well balanced and smooth with jamminess and hits of chocolate. Drink it soon as I don’t think it will last much longer. The 2006 was past it’s prime. The 2008 was also lovely though a bit bolder in flavor profile.

May 17, 2017 - Great match with burgers. Blackberries, blueberries, licorice, and hints of minerals and mocha. Well balanced with a long smooth finish. The Linne Calodo Zinfandel blends sing at 10 years of age!

April 18, 2017 - Thought this might be a bit over the hill but it was still smooth and had a good amount of fruit. Not sure how much longer this will last but it was in a really good spot.
