October 11, 2009 - The nose is good... It does smell like pinot noir. Maybe not expensive pinot but it does have some varietal character in its aromatics. Take a sip and the bitterness on the palate is quite distracting. The finish is short and the only thing left is a note of ethanol. Lacks balance and harmony. Maybe it's the vintage but this definitely wasn't a great buy.

August 22, 2009 - Wine was good. It was not as fruity as some cheap Pinots I've had lately. This was more balanced and a decent average weekday wine. Nothing terribly complex, and I couldn't taste any oak notes. For the $11 I payed, this was a good Pinot value.

August 9, 2009 - Purchased for $11. Right out of the bottle, I thought to myself "Wow. This is Welch's Grape Juice... only with alcohol." But after about 10 mins in the glass, this improved. Dark ruby in color, the nose reminds me of grape jelly/juice. There is more going on with sweet strawberries and vanilla/oak. But the 'concord grape' note is certainly dominant. More of the same on the palate, but I got more of a 'strawberries and cream' note than anything else. The tannins are smooth, and the finish is short... meaning drink this one soon. This is a sweet/fruity wine and would appeal to those looking to get into red wines. Good

June 4, 2009 - I know we can't expect much from $13 pinot, but I rather spend $5 more to get a good pinot, or just drink other varietals.

May 6, 2009 - Do not pop, pour& taste this wine. Give it at least 10 minutes. I took a sip right out of the bottle and wanted to dump it. Waited a little and it got a lot better. Smooth Strawberry, with just a little funk. Not mind bowing, but a decent weekday Pinot.
