March 10, 2010 - Full body, deep ruby color. Intense ripe fruits and herbal aroma. Dried plum palate, medium long spicy finish. Complex and balanced. Drink now and next couple years.

April 1, 2009 - "Har'el" is the 2nd label of the Israeli boutique winery Clos de Gat. But this 2nd label has become a major league wine in its own right, competing in terms of QPR with its more prestigious sibling. The fact that it is a Merlot and not a Cabernet Sauvignon or Syrah adds some more QPR points. Impenetrable ruby red. Rich plum, modest quantities of spicy oak, mouth coating tannins leading to a long creamy berry-loaded finished of mocca and warm Mediterranean spices. Tasting blind, I would not have guessed this was a Merlot. Still a (too) young, with a great future ahead of her.
