June 28, 2010 - Good fruit up front (primarily strawberry), then minerals through finish. Excellent for hot summer night.

June 12, 2010 - Bought this bottle at the Willamette Valley winery's tasting room for $17.10 and drank with hamachi served over a watercress salad. This is one of the best roses we've ever had. We bought 3 bottles at the winery and would have loved to have bought 3 cases but just didn't have the room. Another side note: this would make a FANTASTIC sparkling wine, but I digress. The nose is beautifully fruity and stoney, with a delicious strawberry flavor profile. Typical of very well-done roses, the fruit is very prominent up front, while the mid- and late-palate emphasize the earthiness (courtesy of Oregonian Pinots) and mineraliness of a Pinot rose. This is a perfect summer-time rose. This wine would pair well with grilled veggies, just about any frish dish (it would pair especially well with ceviche), and most summer soups and salads. As far as roses go, this is about as good as it gets. Again, we LOVE this rose. And for a sub-$20 bottle, this is a difficult-to-beat rose. EXTREMELY well done, Adlesheim. Can't wait to crack open that bottle of Pinot we bought from you!

January 2, 2010 - Clear, watermelon pink nearing a rich amber. Clean nose, but not open. Needs coaxing. Bright, light-bodied palate with balanced acidity showing red berries and a bit of spice. Dry. A decent rose.
