May 25, 2015 - Interesting notes of earth and raw meat combined with good fruit. It made for an interesting wine.

October 11, 2011 - - Crimsom color - Dark color. Young fruit up front. Some spicy, smoke, cigar, pencil lead. A little heat on the finish that integrated well after an hour of aeration.

March 30, 2011 - Poured each glass through Vinturi. Color deep, dark, inky, purple. Nose started off with aromas of oak, minerals (stone), then as it opened up got some bacon and smokiness. Palate is full-bodied, this is a big wine but balanced. Got that minerality that lead to a lingering spicy finish. Actually went very well smoked gouda cheese. 5,13,15,5=88

March 17, 2011 - Nose of dark berries, plum and bitter orange peel. Similar flavor profile with somewhat sharp, oaky tannins on the midpalate. Nice finish that's long and leathery. Maybe some time to soften up the oak will help round out this wine.
