December 3, 2023 - Drunk in a restaurant in Brussels where I was amazed to find such a venerable bottle on the list, otherwise populated by the usual array of infant wines. At €80 relativley a bargain as well. No formal notes taken, but this was stupendously good; velvety, rich and distinctively different from the usual run of even quite expensive restaurant wines. Still has plenty of life left and only improved over the course of the meal.

October 13, 2023 - Oddbods Committee Tasting; 10/12/2023-10/13/2023 (New Inn Colchester): Pencil shavings on the nose (Cab Franc?). Nice balance if not a great year a nice effort.

August 8, 2020 - Decanted at about 5.30pm. Struggling to touch base with this at first but the initial blast of aroma upon opening was lush and seductive.

An hour later it is less fruity and the tannins are gripping the tongue and asking ( good ) questions.

8.30pm and everything has settled nicely. Fruit is there but subtle. Tannins firm but gentle. So very drinkable right now. Lush & lovely. Pleasant, lingering finish. A very nice bottle of wine.

June 4, 2020 - Wonderful, wonderful value in a bottle. Beautiful full bodied mouthful of flavour, complexity and tannins. Imagine what you like in it, remember what a bargain it was, and buy more!
