Community Tasting Notes 3

January 2, 2020 - A bottle purchased in Burgundy. Honey, citrus, beewax, white flowers, peach, and nut fruit on the nose. Young, powerful and vibrant on the palate with layers of fruit. The depth and complexity of this wine were simply sensational. An epic old white which can easily age for another 10 years in this condition. Drank like a top 80s Leflaive grand cru in blind. 96+

June 8, 2019 - Unbelievably youthful and absolutely perfect.
The 7th maximum score in my winelife

August 31, 2009 - Aureole with Peter Michael, CC, DP, Caymus, Sloan, Colgin and more (Aureole, New York, NY): I brought this to the dinner, but it was past its prime. :( It was "sip-able" for the experience of trying to imagine what it was like earlier in its life, but it was not actually enjoyable. It was oxidized with loads of nuttiness and sherry notes on both the nose and the palate. Medium finish. Note: I had the 1973 in July and it was fantastic.
