August 29, 2021 - Still young even though it’s a 2004, a bit tight, great dark colour, bold beautiful silky mouth feel, thick and juicy, decanted 2 hours, better in 3-5 years, lots of great fruit, blackberry, enjoyed very much!

    October 23, 2016 - No decanting
Colour:dark red with orangey at edge. Looks a bit past its prime
Nose:red ripe fruit. A bit jammy. Ripe strawberries
Taste: Very tasty and fresh, silky tannins, good long finish. Not jammy at all but a lot of good fruit coming through.

Very nice bootle that has aged really well.

December 6, 2015 - Colour:clear, ruby red, lighter at rim
    Nose:Dark cherries,sweet mint,red plums
Taste:big mouthful of flavours, more ripe cherries. Appears to be in perfect drinking window. Lots of backbone. Very good.

July 18, 2015 - Tough to rate as it was part of an 8 varietal blind tasting. Upon opening, it carried some off flavor nose. A couple of hours of decanting cleaned this up. The nose seemed almost too tame at that point, and it did not show the stuffing I expect of '04 Brunello's. Maybe it was in a "dumb" phase, but maybe it was a little past its prime. I am beginning to wonder if Sangiovese falls from grace a little faster than others once it has peaked.

June 11, 2014 - Delicious, mature BdM. Black cherry, licorice, balance and a layered finish. Better on day 2.
