March 7, 2024 - Nose of baked black berry pie, saddle leather, and barnyard, same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, at its best-enjoy soon, rich fruit, improved the second night compared to the first night, very tasty, has a long, flavorful finish and aftertaste.

September 5, 2022 - Ripe ted fruit on the nose. A tad hot. Pure focused and seductive.
On the palate it shows a bit of alcohol but otherwise this is great. Some light grip and bright fruit qualities tantalize. Drink now and for the next 5 years.

May 21, 2021 - P&P - Bought on release & stored in cellar. Perfect cork. Color is young Dont see the Orangy color I did last time. Bright fruits, almost got an orange liquor note, bright sharp ripe fruit. Complex and beautiful nose. Big burst fruit, this is jumping....gobs fruit. Balanced. Oak is integrated, everything perfect.

Day II - Heavy alch and weight. This is a bit clunky right now. The 15% is forefront. This has fallen. More like cough syrup right now.

If u have these, short decant and finish the bottle.

September 29, 2018 - This one does not drink like a wine that is 12 years old. Still shows a lot of sweet black fruit that is primary and expressive very early. The nose shows a little bit of black Suite fruit with a touch of herb and a touch of leather. The entry is still all about thick dark condensed black fruit, even a little bit of blue fruit shines through. The middle gets a little more complicated, but I would give the complexity award to the 2006 Outpost True Vineyard Cabernet that was opened alongside this one. The finish is very reductive and powerful. There was no way to pick a clear winner between these two 2006 cabs. Both were drinking at the top.

September 8, 2018 - PnP - then thrown into the decanter to let it continue opening up. If serving now I would give it at least 30 mins in decanter and see how it is doing - air was helpful. Clearly a Napa styled wine here with a riper fruit profile - leaning blackberry and blueberry - but the cab franc here gives it an herbal quality that is adds some nice depth. Ripe but still nicely balanced with enough acid - seems to be in a good place now but should continue to develop and drink well for another 10 years.
