    September 9, 2017 - Corked badly. Damnit.

November 7, 2011 - I popped this on a Saturday night while watching the Kirkland vs. Angulo fight on HBO. The fight stole the show, but this wine was still really good. It's very dark purple in the glass. The nose shows plums, ink and violets. The palate is bold and the tannins are like coffee grinds. It starts with plum fruit and transitions to tangy sour cherries. There’s some oak, but the wine is solid enough that the oak doesn’t overwhelm the wine. Good grip, good fruit, and quite balanced, leaving the palate refreshed. My friend Ian enjoyed the wine a lot

November 30, 2010 - Opened several hours but not decanted. A rich, dark garnet- but not inky. Brambly fruit, anise, pepper on the bouquet. Bright cherry, red apple, and blueberry on the palate. Deeper savory spice notes come into play with smoke and gaminess. Well balanced. Mellow tannins, finishing with notes of cracked pepper. Very nice.

September 18, 2010 - Starting to open up a bit. Still needs some cellar time. Lots of oak, a fiar amount of fruit. I think this wine will always be for those who like oak.

September 4, 2010 - Very dark, opaque purple. Blueberry and strawberry preserves, grape koolaid on nose. Tastes like blueberries. A hint of celery and black pepper, but mainly one-dimensional and a little hot. Not a great value at $25.
