  September 22, 2014 - I was surprised how much I enjoyed this wine based on others comments. Enjoyable fruit wil some brilliance. Blackberry raspberry plum. Reminiscent of Gamay. Tannins we're lean for a Syrah and finished with a stemmy green pepper taste that lingered. Somewhat disappointing finish, but not offensive.

  March 18, 2012 - - Brick color and aromas of cloves, walnut and black currant. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of black pepper and black currant with a medium/full body. Leathery texture with a medium finish.

  August 3, 2011 - Decent red blend, but poor QPR. Hoping the Duckhorn winemaker's influence would come through on this one. Not well integrated, too much alcohol, high acidity and more spice than fruit... especially for a syrah blend. Most disappointing - laying it down and putting some age on it, did not improve it from my memory of the tasting at purchase.

  January 15, 2011 - Musty nose with little fruit. Palate wise it has some light cherry, herbal, eucalyptus, and mint notes. Finish is short and disappointing

  November 8, 2010 - Corked! Seemed like a good wine was lurking under the awful wet cardboard smell and taste. I do recall liking this one quite a bit when I had tasted it at the winery. The cork showed signs of seepage; possibly my fault for some less than ideal storage conditions. Blend per the label: 56% syrah, 40% grenache, 2% cabernet sauvignon, 2% carignane.
