August 3, 2018 - Delicious! Very similar notes as previous tastings. Drinking very well now...

April 20, 2018 - Out of magnum. Very impressive, and drinking beautifully at 10 years old. Lots of rich fruit, black raspberries, licorice, and black cherries. Elegant wine, very well balanced, full bodied, and a long silky finish. 94/95

October 8, 2016 - Splash decanted one hour prior to dinner. Big Red and black fruits as to be expected from a Paso wine. No major flaws here. No sharp edges. Good balance. Sweet tannins. Nice long finish. Not too over-the-top. Big enough and build to go with food tonight. Matched up with smoked pork chop, steelhead and Korean barbecue chicken skewers. Still lots of life as to be expected here and held up well.

September 25, 2016 - Nose is big. plum, black cherry and spice.
The fruit is still front and center and still vibrant. Subtle secondary flavors are intertwined, with spices and and a brambly earthiness taking this wine to another level. Incredible balance, the big alcohol level is not noticable at all. The tannins are silky smooth. The finish is medium in length.
I would disagree with the CT drinking window. This wine is at its peak and there was no sign of it declining in the near future.
