The World (@ Sauvage-Fausse Piste with StoryTeller Wine Company) (Portland, Oregon): Floral jasmine, pineapple, verbena, tropical fruits and wet stone aromatics co-mingle with slate and field greens. Stony minerality, apricots, bright apple, rich floral characters abound. Impeccably balanced, a petal soft mouth feel with a lingering finish. This paired extremely well bringing out the best of both trout dishes.

  July 17, 2011 - A solid wine. The aromatics and flavors were absolutely beautiful, showing fresh stone fruits, honeysuckle, grapefruit, fresh-cut flowers, wet limestone, minerality and lychee. Great attack with a rounded/slightly unctuous, steely mid and a crisp, clean, mouthwatering finish. This has a super interesting spicy, almost gingery mouthfeel to it.

  August 15, 2010 - Drank at Rhone/Oz Grenache/Viognier tasting. Pale straw robe, moderate viscosity. Nose is youthful with high intensity and aromas of sweet lemon zest, mandarin flowers, beeswax, grapefruit brûlée and stunning mineral character. The palate is rich, intense and the moderate + balanced abv and moderate acidity reminded me this wasn't a ripe Vouvray and was easily more enjoyable than a 2003 Yves Cuilleron Condrieu that retailed for twice as much. Flavors on the palate were intense, honeyed but steely and floral at the same time. Lovely wine, great balance and inspiring to drink now to 2012.
