October 20, 2019 - The initial nose was very stinky and the first taste was off-putting. A friend proclaimed it to be dead but we persisted and after an hour in the glass it showed signs of life and great improvement in flavors (still a bit sweet and earthy) but obviously far past its glory days.
Bought as part of a collection and paid very little. The fill was high-shoulder with a very solid cork, and it put up a good fight but it came out in one piece using the Durand. Heavy sediment and very cloudy. -

October 16, 2004 - ERI Pre-Auction Wine Tasting (San Francisco CA): Wine tasting. Exceptional aromas of forest floor, reduced mushrooms, cooked meat and remnants of red fruit. First taste beautifully showcases mushroom and spice. Wine gets a bit less interesting towards its moderate finish with moderate finish.
