Community Tasting Notes 8

August 2, 2013 - Can't believe this is still alive after 5 years. Medium garnet. Strawberry, plum aromas. Very nice aged pinot taste. Mellow plum, berry flavours. Not bitterness with only a hint of tannins on a medium finish. I am totally surprised with this wine at its price point.

April 27, 2011 - 82 out of the bottle. 85 after decanting 1 hour. Scores incorporate quality for value.

Deep red color. Dark fruit flavors. Tannins present but light. Out of the bottle tasted thin with no body. Not bad but just no presence.
After decanting 1hr began to open up. More body and a stronger mouthfeel. Not sharp with no unpleasant aftertaste. Good value for a $13.5 wine but I would prefer to spend an extra $5-10 and get something a little better.

December 25, 2010 - I echo Delli's review below. I decanted for 2 hours. Gentle fruit on the nose, dark berry and a only hint of licorice on the palate. Very balanced for this price point. I cannot emphasize the decanting here--I've had this right out of the bottle before and it's not nearly as balanced as it is with some time.

October 11, 2010 - Easy drinking. Let breath for an hour. Medium red color. Mild fruit on the nose. Taste is licorish and berries in an easy presentation. Longer than expected finish. Good value at this price point.
