September 4, 2023 - Popped and poured with Flannery hangers. Dark brick red color with just a touch of bricking. Aromas of black currant, sweet tobacco, dried herbs and forest floor. Hints of old leather as well. Medium-bodied, with flavors of black fruit and tobacco with nice balancing acidity. A terrific match for the beef. Drink in the near term, perhaps a few more years in large format. 92+ pts.

November 10, 2019 - Second Sunday Group: 1999 Napa cabernets (Our house): Blind. This is immediately appealing with notes of tobacco and what I will describe as cooked red berry fruit, and I mean this as a very positive thing here. Medium-bodied with balancing acidity and flavors of mixed red and black fruit, spice box and tobacco. This has an old world sensibility that is very enjoyable. For me the most complex of the wines in the lineup, and my favorite by a slight margin.

    My #1, Domino's #4
    Group #2, 36 pts

December 2, 2012 - Shared by a fellow wine patron at Vintage Wine. Excellent dark color. Brooding appearance. Clearly an older wine, this has very nice bottle bouquet. Chunky chocolate aromas. Cocoa. On the palate it is quite dry but still very flavory. This was truly a revelation as I had never even heard of this wine. Probably better than 95% of '99 Napa cabs. 4-13-16-8: 91/100.

June 7, 2012 - Didn't hold up any where near as well as her sister, Sylviane. Muted. On the decline. Very pleasant and drinkable, but nothing noteworthy.

December 26, 2005 - The last of the real LeDucq's. A solid bordeaux blend...very vibrant. Black Cherry, Mint, Eucaliptus, tobacco. Smooth tannins. Like I remembered from the past consumptions. Down to the last few bottles.
