Community Tasting Notes 5

July 15, 2012 - fair amount of sediment, but strained that out. Great nose that combined fruit, earth and spice. Good mix of red and black berries in the taste, wonderful mouth feel and silky tannins. Lots of spice and herbs as the meal progressed. Good length of finish. Drank with a roasted strip steak and and some ratatouille.

May 1, 2011 - Still quite enjoyable with meal...integrated, subtle secondary flavors, with solid mouthfeel

July 27, 2009 - Vraiment meilleur que le 2001 dégusté en 2008. Belle syrah à son apogée. Pourrait probablement avoir tenu encore 1-2 ans. Notes de clous de girofles et framboises/cassis. Beaucoup de finesse. Belle finale assez soutenue. Un peu cher @ $28.60 il me semble.

April 9, 2008 - Moderately expressive nose of spice, herbs, earth and light, rather high-pitched red fruit. On the palate, more of the same, with somewhat high-toned notes of earth, dried red fruits and spices. Solid acid / tannic structure. Finishes with the impression of rather high acidity.

May 12, 2007 - solid wine with some great garigue, spice pepper on the nose and palate...great QPR
