December 28, 2012 - This was surprisingly good. Savory and meaty and leather notes on the nose and more on the palate, as well as dark fruit. Cooler climate syrah - what great balance with an energetic minerality and acidity on the finish. Neither big nor particularly long, but I wish I had another couple of bottles. What a far cry from warm climate California syrah or Aussie Shiraz!

August 22, 2009 - Pop and pour. Rustic earhy nose; black pepper and spice. Maybe a hint of brett. A rustic and earthy wine with some fruit poking through. Lacking elegance.
