August 11, 2019 - Opened up over a few hours and eventually brought an amazing bouquet of blackberry and boysenberry cobbler - all of the cooked dark fruit and vanilla. No tertiary characteristics yet... I wish I had another bottle to explore in a few years.

July 30, 2017 - Last bottle. Mature now, with more Bordeaux like character, flavors running toward plum and cedar. Quite different from its dark fruit driven youth.

April 5, 2014 - Rich, ripe, full bodied Merlot, with black fruit, licorice, tar. Still youthful, with considerable depth. Try again in 2015

March 18, 2009 - drank right from a very cool cellar, the wine imporved as it warmed. The tannins have mellowed and the wine is drinking extremely well right night. Wish I had more.

February 26, 2005 - 2/05 Austin tasting group - solid wine with a long finish, beautiful dark fruit and a complex nose with dark fruit and chocolate. A big wine not doubt from CA. Tannins still a little to prevalent. 2 hours after opening, however, this wine was almost undrinkable. After 6 hours of decanting, tje above notes were registered. A very nice wine. While I didn't formally score this one, I'm guessing it would come out a 90 plus. A real education for me of how a wine can develop with air time.
