Community Tasting Notes 34

October 12, 2018 - I took a flyer on 3 bottles off Wine Bid. 2 of them were great, one was shot. Fortunately, this bottle was the best of the 3. PnP. The alcohol is showing through after a while being open. Turning somewhat disjointed, but not green like you typically get with aged Cali cab. Lots of toasty oak notes still present. Oak and tannin at this point.

March 22, 2017 - Decanted for an hour. Still quite fruit forward and powerful. Alcohol prevalent. Mature finish. At $65 a bottle well worth it for a finely aged Cali cab that still has a lot of life. At $400 a bottle now that Harlan bought the vineyard for Promontory... LOL.

August 12, 2016 - No formal notes, but this was a wonderful wine with a great structure, and more years of bottle life left. A first rate Napa Cab with substantial residual tannins. Keep for a special occasion.

October 25, 2015 - A little disappointing compared to the previous bottles I had opened. This one seems to have lost a lot of its fruit,
