November 28, 2020 - Well integrated blueberry on a medium body finishing with floral notes.

June 20, 2018 - Medium ruby, translucent. Light pinot noir aroma. Pleasant but simpler flavors, but not as rich or complex as last night's Hansel "Cuvee Alyce".

April 15, 2018 - Subsequent notes on this wine from close to three years ago. Medium-dark reddish garnet in color with a slight clearing at edges. Full, forward & aromatic nose of ripe red fruit aromas of dark cherries, blueberries & strawberries with overtones of floral notes of violets & spice notes, earthy, some cola, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with spices, earthy, minerals & a touch of vanilla. Drinks quite well at present but at 10 years of age, I doubt any further development would occur additional aging.

February 11, 2018 - admittedly, at the end of a long deep wine tasting line up. this had bright cranberry notes - elegant, lithe - def not going to get better - lighter more burgundian than California Pinot noir

February 7, 2017 - Drank at Mistral last nite from magnum. Not decanted. I had this wine a few years ago and my notes are entirely consistent, except for the difference upon opening. The wine initially exhibited a very distinct acidic content that interfered with my enjoyment of the wine. Had me thinking the wine might have been corked. However, this acidness blew off while in the glass, and the wine continued to improve dramatically. Demonstrating a generous nose of cherries and strawberries, with perhaps a hint of vanilla. Lots of sweet cherries and spice, some forest floor or bramble, earthier than I recall, with nice length. Very soft and elegant, if a bit more light bodied than I'd have preferred
