March 16, 2024 - Tertiary profile with still good structure and depth. Herbal nose accompanied by earthy aromas. On the palate herbal tea, dried red cherry, leather, sweet tobacco leaves, allspice, cinnamon and hung meat. Elegant with soft mouthfeel and good persistence through the night. Highly delicious

August 26, 2023 - Winefool Going Away Party and Cellar Depletion (Jack's Bistro - Chicago IL): Tasted 2 days ago, note from memory. The rare 1996 that is well balanced at this point. Maybe more mature than ideal for this level, this vintage, but a fine combination of mature black/red cherry, earth, braised beef, and savory spice. No further upside.

January 25, 2022 - Day 1– red currant and white flowers with a roasted mushroom quality. really nice acid still and very long even if a touch subtle on the finish. loads of complexity
Day 2- much more ripe strawberry with a blood like character but in a good way. a little more oak presence but nice lilac aroma as per MFC. still very alive

November 22, 2019 - Wow is that pretty. Savory tomato and herb but also cherry. Medicinal, not bloody, very full of flavor on the palate and super long. Serious stuff.
