September 27, 2009 - Deep pink hue. The wine shows watermelon and strawberry notes intermixed with hints of fresh herb and spice. This is an interesting saignée of zinfandel, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, petit verdot, merlot, malbec, and primitivo. With no oak, no malolactic fermentation, and no residual sugar, this is a full-bodied dry rose, which shows a nice purity and intensity. The alcohol is 13.5%.
