July 11, 2010 - Lesser Italian White Varietals (Duchman Family Winery Driftwood, Texas): A dessert wine, with a deep gold, aged-sauterne color, it had a pencil lead and almond nose, tasted of aged oak (Bourbon) and honey, some plum and hazelnut, and had white pepper on the back end. It gained some caramel, apricot, and mandarin orange on the palate, had much syrup but lacked acidity.
