January 4, 2013 - Okay, opened another bottle three months later, cork broke off midway like the last one. Fortunately the wine however was much more approachable.
Dark cherry red in color which matches both the nose and the initial impressions on the front. However on the back side and as it lingers on the palate is where it becomes almost abrasive and acidic with some heat to boot. As it oxygenates it's the cherry fruit has disappeared and mostly left with a harsh unappealing wine to drink.
Would have to conclude that this wine overall is way past it's prime and is on the downhill slide.

October 7, 2012 - Unfortunately this particular bottle was past it's prime. Got a little bit concerned when the cork broke off in two while trying to pull the cork out initially. The two bottles I have had been stored in a climate chest at the correct temperature so uncertain as to what happen to this particular bottle.
