July 18, 2010 - Having had 10 or 11 bottles of this over time it has steadily gone down hill over the last few months- interesting to see a wine drop off like this - the wine got disjointed a bit over time and the finishwent from an enjoyable acidic finish to a harsh one- For $8 bones this was a wonderful wine over the 9 months I have had it and provided a good first hand look at how fast wine can evolve.

Reviewing The Wines in the Mini Bar at The Hutton in Nashville Tennessee, Episode #667, 4/30/2009 (link) 90 points(Hess Chardonnay Select) #1; COLOR-medium golden; NOSE-butterscotch; a little Oak; PALATE-that is one good bottle of Chardonnay; really good fruit & complexity; good subtle oak; balanced throughout; I like the creaminess of the upfront fruit and the acid on the back-end; good length as well; a smokey burnt wood action; very good; one of the better CA Chards I've had in a while; very impressive; GV-90
