Community Tasting Notes 2

March 20, 2010 - Drank over two days. The nose is a bit sedate, with hints of the oak to come and some spice elements. The palate exhibits noticeable oak qualities, with vanilla, licorice, and spice elements provided by the oak, which at times complement and at times smother the notes of cherry and blackberry. The use of "shiraz" rather than "syrah" should tip you off to what's going on here.

October 24, 2009 - Exotic, perfumy nose with violets and lavender over blackberry and peppery spices.
The palate isn't quite as well delineated, but it sports some nice blackberry and currant. A little hot on the finish.
