October 12, 2021 - Light reduction, citrus aromatics. Palate more resolved, settled. Reminded me of a peak Leflaive Chevalier from a bygone era. (1368/2098)

February 13, 2020 - Heavy matchstick aromatics. Killer richness and length. At its apogee. (1471/2098)

September 21, 2017 - Flinty and nutty. Called this a dauvenay auxey duresse 01 as it does not have the complexity and power of the narvaux I would expect from. Palate is ripe. Drinking well with not much upside from cellaring because of the ripeness.

September 21, 2017 - Still pretty much like the last bottle, on the ripe side yet with loads of minerals.

July 9, 2017 - Dinner at Brian's (Moonbeam View): Marvellous stuff. This is about as good as a Meursault village gets. The nose was layered and complex, with deep seams of minerally flint, stone and saline Chablis scents, alongside but really rich, sweet aromas of stone fruit and whipped cream and perfumy florals, and then a hint of savoury white meat around the edges of the bouquet - wow. The palate was pure Meursault, with deep layers of cream and yellow fruit and sweet lemon curd, all balanced with lovely fresh acidity that kept it beautiful poised, even transparent. This was super rich for a Village - I actually thought it may have been a Coche-Dury Meursault Charmes on first guess. It had a superb Long finish too, full of stone and lemon zest, all grippy tones that absolutely refused to quit on the back-palate. A marvellous expression, drinking beautifully now with just a bit of time in the glass.
