May 19, 2022 - Drinking beautifully. Terrific Vosne aromatics, rich, long, and deft on the palate. Finishes with a brush of tannins.

February 2, 2019 - Clos des Réas / Pontet-Canet tasting-cum-lunch (Restaurant Bak, Amsterdam, NL): Light but wonderfully fragrant, blue fruit and Asian spices, very seductive, fully mature, juicy but ever so slightly drying on the finish, very good length.

February 2, 2019 - Clos des Réas 2006-2011. Clos des Réas is a 2.1245 ha vineyard surrounded by a very tall stone wall. Clos des Réas is located below Vosne-Romanee Les Chaumes. Second wine of the first flight. Deliciously fragranced nose! Very charming, relatively light and elegant. Pretty soft.

January 10, 2016 - A lovely flavoursome red Burgundy straight from the intriguing nose of tart cherry fruit with woody spice notes and a hint of farmyard. Immaculate palate with a controlled fruit start then layers and layers of other flavours, good balance and acidity. Tannins firm but not un-ripe and ready to drink I think. WoFW 17/20

December 25, 2015 - Popped and poured to replace corked Burguet gevrey.
Deeper colour than previous bottles and not as advanced on the nose. Ripe fruit with some spice. Hint of jam. Good balance on palate with a decent spine and plenty of rich fruit. Much better than anticipated.

(Gros Michel Vosne-Romanée Clos des Réas) Deep and less floral than the 'Vosne', but again quite an intense nose. In the mouth there's also intensity of flavour and reasonable tannin behind it. The acidity is just a little bright and there's plenty of oak on the finish.
