January 4, 2020 - Tawny colored with very light sediment in the bottle. Smell and flavor of prunes and dried fruits with some leather. Very low tannin and acidity with light/medium body. It has a very short finish. This wine is quite good for being over 50 years and is definitely something memorable just because of the age.

May 7, 1989 - Fairly dark ruby. Browning slightly, but amazingly youthful appearance for a California cab of this age. Fragrant nose. Plummy. Some alcohol. Slight prune. On the palate, surprisingly good concentration of fruit-although clearly on or near the downside of its plateau. Rather short finish, but overall, this wine really surprised me. Very good for a wine of any age, it's special for its ability to age gracefully. 5-10-14-7: 86/100. With air, the wine gained in complexity and dimension. Great coffee aroma accompanied perfect sweet mint/eucalyptus flavor and aroma. Amazing. Dead ringer for Johnson Turnbull/Heitz Martha's. 5-11-17-8: 91/100.
