March 23, 2023 - Curious to see how this wine would age considering its first class reviews on release. Stored in a cold cellar. Deep colour. Black fruits cherries. Good balance depth and persistence. Some complexity. Not a heavyweight. Tannins fully resolved. Impressive. Seems at peak but will last if stored well.

March 11, 2023 - Drinkable but generic and lacking interest or impact.

December 16, 2022 - Doctor Prepper …? Still hard to get over the tannin despite several hours' decant and some kept overnight.

July 31, 2022 - Decanted for 3 hours then drank over the next three. Very dark mulberry-hued, deep totally opaque but fading very slightly at the meniscus. Lots of deep ripe black plums and mulberry on the nose with quite a lot of oak still. Palate has good acidic cut but the fruit, such as it is, is very bitter black and red cherry. The problem is the excruciating tannins that dominate everything. Disappointing that this has never opened up since I first bought a case on release.

August 16, 2020 - Hmmm...not really what I was expecting and somewhat of a disappointment. Felt a bit clunky, lacking poise and any nuance and a little bit brutish on the palate. There is some good quality quite ripe fruit underpinning the wine, doesn’t feel particularly integrated this time around and despite plenty of air it never really got going. Usually an excellent wine from a quality maker, could just be some bottle variation happening but my last few might be going to auction on this showing.
