October 17, 2018 - fantastic wine, starting to come into a mature phase, loved this one.

    May 5, 2018 - 5th Annual Wilson School Auction Tasting (5th Time's a Charmes): Slow-ox 3 hrs
-nearly opaque dark red, minimal bricking
    -earthy dark cherry
-med acidity, med+ weight, fading earthy cherry with a bitter oak topnote, med tannins
-this bottle not very expressive and frankly a bit disappointing as it's lost the flashiness it had in its youth but hasn't become more complex or interesting

March 3, 2018 - Ami Louis (after 2003 Montrose, before 2 bottles 1999 Clos de tart), fresh, black fruits, spices, good wine

November 26, 2017 - Very youthful nose displaying crushed blackberry, cherry, a hint of coffee, rose and earth. Excellent concentration, packed black fruit, bright acidity, noticeable but fine tannins and a long intense black fruit driven finish. IMO, Charmes Chambertin is about the rich concentrated fruit and this is no exception. It will need another decade of cellaring to add the tertiary complexity and sweetness. Really promising. I agree wholeheartedly with THE VINES THAT BIND’s assessment.

July 2, 2016 - Ten Days in Burgundy, Champagne, and Paris; 6/24/2016-7/6/2016: Young and super fruit driven with a bit of earth sneaking in. Big red cherry and raspberry. Very good acidity provides a lengthy finish. Big tannin present but not off putting. Best on the palate, hedonistic drinking right now for sure. Nose is floral but hasn't developed much complexity yet.

Burgundy-Report

(Perrot-Minot Christophe Charmes-Chambertin) Medium colour. Open, with sweet oaky elements and rather fainter fruit. Concentrated, with decently textured structure - there’s lots of wine here, but despite a great finish I’d like a hint more acidity/freshness.
