June 12, 2022 - Enjoyed with a gorgonzola/smoked bacon gnocchi dish.. The real deal....throwing a lot of sediment. Dark, full bodied, jammy with depth and layers of hoisin, toast, some blues and all manner of black fruits. Very classy and the pedigree of the vineyard is noticeable. Excellent.

    February 14, 2015 - Overpowering alcohol!

November 18, 2013 - Opened alongside 2010 MRV zins from Bedrock and Carlisle, and the Biale showed much riper, dark fruited and deep with impressive floral aromas and a long smoky finish. It's a shame we were unable to compare a Biale from the same vintage. While I preferred the brighter, more acidic and red-fruited 2010s, this wine indeed showed its class and was the favorite of most everyone at the lunch.

August 17, 2013 - Zinfandel spice is retreating. Drinks more like a good cab.

November 21, 2012 - Very nice Zin. Even with alcohol at 15.8 the wine doesn't taste aggressive. Plenty of pepper but smooth finish.
